I am currently undertaking doctoral research with the Centre for Research and Education in Arts and Media (CREAM) at the University of Westminster to investigate Italian landscape photographers' response to the country's industrialisation during the final decades of the 20th Century and their role in developing a new consideration of the Italian territory.

The project focuses on the regions of Emilia-Romagna and Veneto, with a particular interest in suburban areas. Considering practitioners active at the time as a unified artistic movement, the research looks at Luigi Ghirri, Guido Guidi, and Gabriele Basilico's practice between others for their complexity and interest in depicting such "in-between" space.
